Professional experience
Over two decades since I built my first client website, I’ve successfully completed hundreds more.
You’ve already explored the solutions and services I offer, reviewed my portfolio and the esteemed clients I’ve collaborated with. Yet, you might be wondering if we’re a compatible fit, if we can collaborate effectively, and above all, who exactly is Saša Forić?
Over two decades since I built my first client website, I’ve successfully completed hundreds more.
I’ve been a remote-only developer since 2012, so I’m no newcomer to this environment.
Situated in the picturesque Milsons Point, I’m ready to collaborate with clients and partners from all around the world.
For most of my career, I’ve been a freelance web developer, working with a diverse range of clients, from startups and small businesses to large international organisations and banks.
I’ve also served as an on-demand web developer for numerous agencies worldwide. Some notable ones I’m proud to have collaborated with include Zweikraft, Degordian and 2am.tech.
My primary role often involves stepping in to address frontend development needs, whether for quick fixes or when a company lacks a specialised resource in my field.
In 2012, I established my boutique web development agency in Croatia. In 2016, I extended my entrepreneurial journey by co-founding another agency in the United States alongside my dear friend, Marko Prljić. Subsequently, in 2017, I relocated to Australia and seamlessly transplanted my business “Down Under”.
When it came to naming my web development company, I opted for a simple and straightforward choice, “Coder”. However, the downside of such a generic name became apparent when I pursued the domain name coder.com.au (now coder.au), which set me back $5,000.
With my background, I have acquired substantial experience not only in web development but also as a project manager who can tackle a wide array of responsibilities.
I’m an avid investor, a trait I share with Warren Buffett, even though we may differ significantly in terms of billions. I believe in investing in what I know and use daily, like Apple, American Express, and Tesla (big gainz!), but I also threw my hat into the GameStop frenzy (to the moon!) for that adrenaline rush.
Properties are another love of mine; I’m so attached to them that I own three. Two in the picturesque Milsons Point (the #1 most livable suburb in Sydney, for those not in the know), and then there’s my property in Croatia that I bought more than 15 years ago. I’ve kept it all these years as I strongly believe in holding onto investments for the long term. I’m a long-term holder. I’m a hodler.
I’m the dad of a tiny train-obsessed human who thinks sleep is overrated. My wife’s got Russian roots, and our love story is a globetrotting extravaganza. We met in Greece, experienced life together in Russia and the USA, got engaged in Singapore, had a tropical wedding in Four Seasons, Bora Bora (with a sequel in Sydney), and now, down under, we’re officially “Aussies”!
I’ve explored numerous countries, and notably, I’ve ventured through all 50 U.S. States.
I’m a big fan of the great outdoors, but in Australia, where wildlife abounds, I’ve chosen hiking over camping. I prefer to keep on the move, staying one step ahead of those tiny creatures, making sure they can’t catch me.
I’m a fan of adrenaline, which might explain my investment in GameStop. Additionally, there are a few noteworthy experiences, including a 3,000m (10,000ft) skydive, a 55m (180ft) bungee jump from a bridge, and a thrilling helicopter jump into the water with Navy Seals.
I’m a comedy enthusiast, particularly when it comes to stand-up comedians. I’ve had the pleasure of attending numerous live stand-up shows; if I’m not in the front row, you can bet I’m in the second.
Some of the notable comedians I’ve had the opportunity to see live include Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Kevin Hart, Jimmy Carr, Ronny Chieng, Jeff Ross, Rob Schneider, Jay Pharoah, and Celeste Barber.
Plus, I’ve got upcoming tickets for Trevor Noah and Ben Schwartz.
Over the course of my career, I’ve been involved in a variety of long-term projects and have held several full-time positions.

After reading my about page, you might have more questions than answers.
I aim to provide answers to some of your questions.
Originally from Croatia, my parents never thought I’d need an international name. To show them just how wrong they were, I’ve spent over a year in Russia, the United States, and, for the past six years, I’ve proudly called Australia home, where I obtained my citizenship.
Yes and no. In 2014, my Serbian friend Marko Prljić gifted me 50 USD worth of Dogecoin, and during the peak of the Dogecoin frenzy, that gift skyrocketed to almost 100k in value. However, in 2014, I didn’t bother to save the digital wallet keys because I never imagined it would be worth anything in the future. How wrong I was.
Well, to be fair, I had already been to 35 States when my OCD kicked in, and it single-handedly took care of the remaining 15, no questions asked.
When I code, my heart rate drops to as low as 45 bpm. I’m so calm because I know exactly what I’m doing, to the extent that my Apple Watch thinks I’m in trouble. On the flip side, I’m also attempting to push my heart rate to 200 bpm, making my Apple Watch again question my well-being. I’ve been doing this for quite a while and may have single-handedly disrupted Apple Watch’s calibration system.

After assessing my work, client history, and the services I offer, it’s clear that I’m an industry expert. But now, it’s also evident that I bring a personable and friendly approach to my work.
